Professional supervision is a safe, confidential and supportive space where practitioners can pause, reflect on their mahi, explore challenges, recognise their strengths, and continue developing both personally and professionally.
Through Te Mauri Tuakiri, professional supervision is offered from a culturally grounded and relational approach. The space is designed to support you as a whole person — acknowledging that who we are, what we carry, and the experiences we bring with us can all influence the way we show up within our mahi.
I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Kaitiakitanga: Professional Supervision through Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, graduating in 2021. Since then, I have had the privilege of providing supervision and reflective support to both students and experienced professionals, working within individual and group supervision settings.
My approach draws upon Te Ao Māori values, reflective practice, lived experience and professional social work knowledge, creating a space where honest kōrero, learning and growth can take place. Supervision does not have to be solely about what is going wrong — it is also an opportunity to acknowledge what is going well, reconnect with your purpose, strengthen your professional identity and explore where you want to grow next.
At Te Mauri Tuakiri, supervision is about more than professional accountability. It is about creating ahurutanga — a safe and nurturing space where you can bring your authentic self, reflect without judgement, and leave with greater clarity, direction and confidence in your practice.
He wāhi hei whakaaro, hei kōrero, hei tupu.
A space to reflect, to kōrero, and to grow.
